Marine City Medical College (MCMC) is one of the non-government medical colleges of Bangladesh situated within the port city, Chittagong. it had been established in 2013 by a gaggle of dedicated people that were involved ideals at providing quality medical education, research, and services to people of this country at an inexpensive cost. Our aim is to achieve a typical level in health & medical education both nationally & abroad.
The teaching faculty of MCMC is experienced, knowledgeable, and dedicated & working hard to achieve this standard. the school & hospital is affiliated with Chittagong Medical University & approval by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, the govt of the people’s republic of Bangladesh.

Marine City Medical College was established with the vision of offering world-class medical education in Bangladesh. Payment of admission fees, Development fees, Donation, and all other charges (US$ 32,250.00).
During admission:

At the time of admission, all students will need to pay a minimum of 1 (01) year hostel seat rent beforehand if they desire to measure during a hostel. Hostel accommodation fees are equivalent to local students for one year. All students will clear their hostel seat rent before appearing in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & Final professional MBBS examination.
If they fail within the Final Professional MBBS Examination, they’re going to need to pay US$ 800.00 (Eight hundred US Dollars) for every attempt altogether subjects and US$ 267.00 for every subject. All students will clear their tuition & other fees goodbye they continue their regular courses. All students need to pay the other charges which can be imposed by the concerned authority associated with the MBBS course, like RFST, study tour, autopsy visit, etc.
Recognitions of Marine City Medical College
Marine City Medical College is affiliated with Chittagong Medical University & Chittagong University. This Medical College is recognized by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare & Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC). Marine City has its own academic infrastructure that is utilized for the teaching-learning activities of Medical students as well as providing curative, preventive, primitive, and rehabilitative health care services to the people.
The standard of the MBBS program and quality of health care is ensured by research studies and evaluation. The regular activities of the college are executed by weekly seminars, monthly faculty development workshops and conduction of resource activities for academic development is a matter of pride of this institution.
Marine City has excellent, experienced, and dedicated faculty members who are all trained in advanced level teaching technologies. The College has state of art, tertiary care, multispecialty teaching hospital with all the modern diagnostic and therapeutic facilities. Eligibility Criteria for Admission
Academic Qualifications
- High School Qualifications:
- Completion of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent examination with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- A minimum GPA of 7.00 combined in SSC (Secondary School Certificate) and HSC exams, with at least a GPA of 3.00 in each exam.
- O-Level and A-Level Students:
- Must have studied Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at the A-Level.
- Equivalent qualifications as determined by the respective medical authority.
Age Limit
- Age Restrictions: Students should be between 17 and 25 years old at the time of admission.
Language Proficiency
- English Proficiency: Proof of proficiency in English through tests like IELTS or TOEFL if the medium of instruction in previous education was not English.
Medical Fitness
- Health Certificate: A certificate of medical fitness from a recognized medical practitioner.
MBBS Admission Process
FOREIGN STUDENTS
The interested applicants must fulfill the following criteria of eligibility for admission:
- Applicants must have passed qualifying examinations i.e. 12th grade (10+2=12 years) of schooling at a public school/ board/ college or passed an examination in any foreign country which is recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as equivalent to the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination.
- Applicants must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination or equivalent examinations with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their major/ compulsory subjects.
- Applicants must have obtained at least 75% marks in average (which is equivalent to GPA 4.0 or equivalent grade in Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary Certificate examinations or in equivalent examinations respectively (i.e. ‘B’ grade in A-level or O-level examination) and should have at least 65% marks separately in either of these examinations (i.e. GPA 3.50 or ‘C’ grade). In the case of O-level examination marks grades of only six subjects (top 6 subjects on the basis of marks/ grades obtained) will be considered. In the case of the A-level examination, marks/grades of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology will be considered for evaluation.
- All academic certificates must be transferred to Bangladesh standard (through a collection of Equivalence Certificate from DGHS Dhaka, Bangladesh) & Student Visa formalities through the embassy of Bangladesh.
- Students must be submitted their qualifying certificate from his/her country.
- The application should be submitted to Marine City Medical College prescribed forms. Attested copies of certificates and mark sheets etc. have to be furnished along with the application. All certificates and mark sheets must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the respective country of the applicant’s academic institution. No application will be accepted without such attestation.
- The successful applicants will require to produce all academic certificates and mark sheets in original during their admission.
- Financial solvency documents must be submitted with the application form.
Curriculum and Teaching Methods
Curriculum: The MBBS program at MCMC spans five years, followed by a one-year compulsory internship. The curriculum is designed to meet international standards, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills.

Examination and Assessment
Formative Assessments: Conducted throughout the academic year to monitor student progress and provide feedback. These may include quizzes, assignments, practical tests, and mid-term exams.
Summative Assessments: Conducted at the end of each academic year or phase. These include written exams, practical exams, clinical exams, and viva voce (oral exams).
Clinical Training and Internship
The one-year compulsory internship is a crucial part of the MBBS program. During the internship, students work under supervision in various departments of affiliated hospitals, gaining hands-on experience in patient care and management.
Internship Rotations:
- Medicine: Internal medicine, cardiology, neurology.
- Surgery: General surgery, orthopedic surgery, trauma care.
- Obstetrics and Gynecology: Labor ward, gynecological surgeries, reproductive health.
- Pediatrics: Pediatric ward, immunization clinics, child health.
- Emergency Medicine: Accident and emergency department, acute care.
